This privacy policy applies to the Downslope game for Android and iOS (the "App"), made by MeowasticApps ("we", "us"). It explains what information is processed when you play, who processes it, and the choices you have.
The App saves your game progress (scores, coins, unlocked skiers, Lodge upgrades), your settings, and whether you own the Supporter Pack, in the App's local storage on your device. This information is never sent to us. Uninstalling the App deletes it.
If you have not bought the Supporter Pack, the App shows a full-screen ad between some runs. Ads are provided by Google AdMob, operated by Google LLC (or Google Ireland Limited for users in the EEA, UK and Switzerland). To request, show and measure ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK in the App may collect and send to Google:
Google uses this information to deliver ads, to personalise ads where you have consented to it, to measure ad performance, to prevent fraud and abuse, and for analytics. We do not receive this data in a form that identifies you; we only see aggregated reports such as the number of ads shown. Google's use of this information is described in its policy: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services, and in the Google Privacy Policy.
If you own the Supporter Pack, the App does not start the ads SDK and sends no data to AdMob.
When no ad is available, the App may instead show a card for another app made by us. These cards are part of the App and collect no data. Tapping "Get it" opens the app store.
The Supporter Pack is sold through Google Play or the Apple App Store, which process the payment under their own privacy policies. We never receive your payment details or your store account information. The App only asks the store whether the Supporter Pack is owned on your account, so it can unlock its contents and restore the purchase.
Personalised advertising, and the storage of and access to information on your device for advertising, are based on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time under Privacy options. Non-personalised ads, ad measurement and fraud prevention are based on our legitimate interest in funding the free version of the App. Processing your purchase is necessary to provide the Supporter Pack you bought.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. Because we hold no personal data about you, most requests concern data held by Google; you can manage it with the controls above and Google's tools at Google Data & Privacy. If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request its deletion, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. The advertising identifiers and usage data described above may be shared with Google for advertising. To opt out, decline ad personalisation in the App's Privacy options where offered, reset or delete your Advertising ID, decline tracking on iOS, or contact us at [email protected].
Google may process data in countries other than yours, including outside the European Economic Area. Google uses legally recognised mechanisms for such transfers, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and adequacy decisions.
We do not retain any personal data. Data on your device stays there until you uninstall the App. Data received by Google is retained according to Google's own retention policies.
The App is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly allow the ads SDK to process data of children under 16. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has used the App in a way that caused their data to be processed, contact us at [email protected] and we will help you resolve it.
The App sends no data to servers of ours. Communication between the App and Google's ad services and the app stores is encrypted in transit.
We may update this policy, for example when the App changes. The current version is always available at this address, with its effective date at the top. Where the law requires it, we will ask for your consent to material changes.
